NEW RST AMMO 16GA
I am curious about 16 Ga. • 2 1/2" • Semi AutoMatic A-5 • Vel. 1200 • 1 oz. Load - from RST. I know and use the Lite 1oz loads but curious what these loads would be like in my Sterlingworth. I assume more recoil and are they more pressure? I sent an email to RST and the answer was that the A5 l...

A&AE forearm iron
Are these interchangeable? I have an A and looking at an AE. I want to move my fancy wood on theA to the AE.

What does it take to get a responses on this site?
On 8/23/19 I submitted to posts, one on the Main forum and one on the photo forum regarding my Sterlingworth 16 and so far I have had one response on the main and none on the photo forum. All other posts during that time on both forums have received multiple responses. I am a paid member but obvious...

Sterlingworth questions
I bought my 16 ga 2yrs. but it has taken that much time due to snags to get it finished. My questions: 1. I loaded 2 shells then fired the right barrel and it doubled on me because the sear for the back trigger wouldn't hold. I finally found a sear and got it installed. Now that it is installed ever...

Finally got my Sterlingworth done but have questions
I bought this 16 ga 2yrs. but it has taken that much time due to snags to get it finished. My questions: 1. Stupidly, I only shot from the right barrel then took it to my stock man. When I got it back I loaded 2 shells and it doubled on me because the sear for the back trigger wouldn't hold. I final...

Re: 20 Gauge 7/8 oz VS 1 oz Sterlingworth
I fully agree on low pressure on the range because you shoot considerably more ammo then hunting. I hunt doves once a year and it would be a great day if I shot more than a box of shells due to the patchy population in our area so I am perfectly comfortable with shooting my 1912 A 12ga and my 1923 1...

Re: 20 Gauge 7/8 oz VS 1 oz Sterlingworth
How many times on this site has somebody posted serious dangerous damage to a Fox shotgun of this vintage due to using modern light ammo like Game Loads?

Re: Doubling problem revisted
Thanks for your replies guys. By not square I mean the sharp edge of the bevel isn’t square. It is definitely beveled but not seated far enough to hold. Also, I mentioned in my post that the space between the triggers isn’t as large as my 12ga A. Is that normal for smaller gauges?

Doubling problem revisted
Recently I posted a doubling problem with my 16ga sterlingworth. Researcher felt it was a wood problem and it made sense to me because I just had new wood installed. However I just returned from the stock maker along with gun smith and found out it was the sear bevel not seated far enough in the not...

Re: 16ga Sterlingworth concerns
In addition to thank you guys for the advice, it was good to find out that there is alternative ammo to use instead of 2.5" low pressure.

Re: 16ga Sterlingworth concerns
Probably wrong terminology, I thought the small frames on 16's and 20's nicknamed that?

Re: 16ga Sterlingworth concerns
Thanks for the input guys. I just had new wood made for it to fit me so it could be more of a wood problem than mechanics.

16ga Sterlingworth concerns
Recently, I acquired a 16ga. Sterlingworth baby frame made in 1920 and here are my concerns: 1. I had the gun serviced with a cleaning, inspection, and it needed an extractor rod. It doubles on me when I shoot the right-barrel-front trigger because the back trigger is very light and releases from the...

Dram measure on RST 16ga shot shells
Two questions:
1. Do we have any idea what the drams of powder are on RST 16ga 1oz loads?
2. Does the answer to that relate to any other shot-shell manufacturer's same dram equivalent? I suppose it totaling depends on the specific powder used.
