yep,,, definitely going to a trusted gunsmith
no ''safe'' marking on the tang,,, really seems to be assembled for the ''fire'' position to be rearward ..

I pasted this in the general forum,, before I found this I just took possession of my first Fox,, Ansley H Fox made 1910 12 ga. The gun has been entirely refinished and looks like has never been fired since being restored and became a safe queen. Was stiff and difficult to open at first On these gun...
