Re: Long Hidden Under The Bed
Not sure how a dent like that could occur without some collateral evidence on the barrel.
Likely could be a factory fluke.
Very desirable shotgun.

Re: Auction Find
Nice find!! We generally consider that "linen finish cover" catalog the 1936 and that 1935 price list should be in the "leatherette cover" catalog. https://www.foxcollectors.com/fox-catalog-covers/fox-catalog-covers-directory/1935 So your opinion this is a 36 catalog with a 35 p...

Re: Interesting Phila. Fox Find
Welcome to the forum, Angelo.
Now you need to find a nice sub gauge Fox, for those Woodcock hunts.
You might shoot it as well as that long range Elsie.
Pick up a copy of McIntosh’s A. H. Fox book.

Fox Factory
I was looking at the pictures of the Fox factory under the Catalog heading of the home page. Seems they lowered the street quite a bit, perhaps 8 or 10 feet. The middle picture shows part of the building on temporary cribbing. The other photos show what looks like to be the addition of a lower floor...

Savage
Here is a chance to own the Fox name.
Just reported on FBN that Savage is up for sale by Vista Outdoors.
Someone may need to step in and preserve the Fox/ Savage records.
ps Just announced it was sold for 170m.

Re: boring/threading 1911 a grade - advice?
I think choke tubes are over rated, unless shooting clays. Most of what you want can be done with different types of loads, spreaders, as has been mentioned. If you need a full choked duck and goose gun a vintage gun is probably not the best choice with heavy loads. Ducks over decoys or jump shootin...

Re: What makes a great Fox collection?
First time posting .I am a Fox small bore junkie . Started with an A Grade 16 with 28" #4 weight barrels and got hooked big time . I've since found a few more A grades , 20 and 16 , most with 28" tubes but a few with 30" . Picked up a couple Sterlys too. I have a 15" LOP and the...
