Re: Paul Belpasso
This is sad news for sure. I knew Paul from the shoots and bought a double rifle from him several years ago. He even offered to load the shells for me. A very nice guy he will be missed.

Re: I'll Take The Fox / Spring 2017 DGJ
It was a very enjoyable article and led me to the purchase of the straight grip 16 pictured. Not to wish summer away but I'm looking forward to grouse season

Re: CSMC Fox shotguns....sweet
I have a CSM Fox FE 410 and it's a wonderful gun. I shoot Quail with every year when I go to Georgia. I'd never leave it behind.

Re: BIG NEWS RE: The Spring Southern!!!
IIRC the rate at the Quality Inn in Faquay-Varina was $69/night compared to $99/night at the Hampton. There will be lots of shooting at Drakes all day Thursday as nothing is really going on at Deep River.

Re: BIG NEWS on AHFCA SHOOTING EVENTS!!
I'll bring the custom XE 16 to Ernie's. straight grip, 26 inches of open choked bores and a proven killer of Grouse and Woodcock. I'll miss the FOX/Parker challenge if the deer and antelope gods smile favorably with tags. I need to blood two new custom rifles

This is an excellent event. One of the best shoots by far of the season.

Re: Double on Quail
It was a great time that's for sure, lots of birds, great dogs, guides and accommodations. It's worth the trip just to leave Michigan in January :D I didn't score a double with either Fox the 410 or the upgraded XE 16 so I guess a Fox doesn't get the game  Scored doubles with the Parkers in 28 ...

Re: Extractor Sterlingworth with ejector forend
My upgraded 16ga SW has ejectors as does a 12ga 30 inch gun I just bought as an upgrade candidate then what do you know but a great condition 12ga 32 incher pops up at a small local shoot. That one came home as well and it will stay as Fox intended it.

Re: 20 Ga 2 1/2" or Win AA Low recoil loads
I wouldn't lengthen the chambers what I would do if you plan on shooting it a lot is start reloading. I load 2 1/2 inch RST hulls in all gauges and a 3/4oz 20 ga load is pure heaven to shoot.

Re: Quail
I'm looking forward to going to south Georgia the end of January. We did hit a wild covey but that is the exception to the rule. Two new Quail guns this year, an upgraded SW 16ga and a WR Pape 28ga hammer gun to go along with the Fox FE 410. Someday wild birds for sure.

Re: CSMC vs Custom Fox small bore?
Frank that's a very nice looking gun congrats! I'm in the process of doing a custom Fox for target shooting. I have the blank narrowed down to one of nine potential candidates. I'm of the opinion if you want a nice graded Fox 20 esp if your looking for something with long barrels than CSM is the way...

Re: CSMC vs Custom Fox small bore?
Golden Fox I appreciate your insight and advise, unfortunately your 20+ Parkers, 15 16ga's, 4 Fox's ( bought a vey nice 32 inch SW yesterday) behind the curve. I won't get into the Pre64 M70's or the custom rifles (my 4th 7X57 is in the works) or the varmint rifles it just takes up to much time. I h...
