Tape measures are not acurate measuring devices. If you want an accurate measurement using a tape measure, do as a good carpenter does and "cut an inch". Hold the 1 inch mark exactly at one end of the barrells and subtract an inch from the overall length. Peter

The head mic's out at .222. I wonder how it was ever installed. I am trespassing on unfamiliary territory where Fox innards are concerned and hesitate to file the head unless I am sure the auto safety will still work. I must be one of those rare strange individuals who loves an auto safety for I hav...

Silvers is correct. The problem is that the head of the pushrod won't clear the side of the stock head. The auto safety works fine and the gun has been in a dehumidified safe for three months with a good fit to metal at the time of removal. I will see if I can get close up pictures. Peter

Silvers, thanks for the response. The reason I want to seal the head of the stock and freshen the finish is because I had some swelling problems on wet days this winter. The crack only appeared when I tried to remove the push rod and it pressed against the stock. I will try to blow in some acra glas...

Auto safety pushrod

I took the stock off my early Sterlingworth 20 the other day to start refreshing it for next season. The auto safety pushrod will not clear the the edge of the inletting. I also noticed a tiny crack at the head of the stock on the left side where the push rod contacts it when I attempt removal. This...

Fly By Night, I have used RST 21/2" shells exclusively this season with the exception of a few Texas handloads. I shoot primarily lightweight guns from 12 to 20 and I love these shells. Low recoil, low pressure and good velocity. If you are looking for target ammo this will not be your cheapest...

Thanks for the info. We had a discussion about the legality of selling
a gun without a serial number through an FFL.
Sorry about the image size.
I am new to image posting.
Any tips on how to reduce the
size would be appreciated.

Fox model B

I took a friend hunting today, the last day of woodcock season. He has had his model B since he was ten. This gun has no serial numbers that I could find. Is this common? http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/pburke106/woodcock/100_0939.jpg Recent hunt with sterlingworth http://i263.photobucket.c...
