Researcher, I have several Campfire catalogs of the group; but I believe the Export version you pictured is the best condition Campfire I have ever seen!
Have often wondered if the 22/23 versions actually existed.

Re: Little Orphan Annie arrives.
In the 1960/80 's several high school/college students would loved to have had her around Philomont, Unison, Bloomfield. Loudoun valley was a quail hunters wonderland even though we always wanted a really good dog. I assume you have to go way down the valley now. Thanks for the pictures. Ed Farrand

Having been in the machinery business for almost 40 years, I greatly respect Frank's detailed messages on metal work, and I am very reluctant to disagree with one so expert in several fields. Rather than question Frank's logic, I would wonder why one cannot do both. In 82 years I have owned dozens o...

Vaturkey: Was not Sleeters Lake wonderful! The cove on the west side directly opposite the dam usually had a small flock of very skidish blacks most days. In the 60s/70s/80s I could frequently, almost daily, be there paddling a john boat in the dark before driving to work at Lorton. I miss that too,...

Thanks to those who appreciate veterans. This veteran, 50 years later, also still thanks the Army for the things
it did for me, particularly maturity and education.

Turkey: Great pictures-both turkey and you. Always enjoy pictures I can identify from home; would love to know
exactly where that well is with the mountain in the background.

ebay Hang Tag
A word of caution: On ebay at present is listed and shown an original Philadelphia hang tag. You need to magnify the picture to observe there is no small white (or red) disc between the brass grommet and the tag at the string hole. I have about 20 tags, plus a good picture of early No. 1025 from eba...

David, would you like to have a good clear copy of the January price list (not that one), or simply borrow one so you can copy
it to suit yourself ?
I was one of the two bids on the hang tag-not for any legitimate reason !

If you want to include Fox paper in this discussion , consider the Number 22 or Number 23 Campfire catalogs. I often
wonder if a copy of either actually exists ?

Tom: I think the pictures are great and you hit one with great memories for me on this one. Twenty or so years ago before I left Philmont, I had a close college friend from Bowling Green who took a couple of us onto a group of scrub properties, then owned by WESTVACO. Properties had been clear cut f...
