Cool was a loose term. Famous writers/hunters are "cool".

I also enjoy knowing that my gun fed ancestors. Gives it that family appeal kinda thing.

Ok, here comes some more newbie questions.

What are the differences between shells. RST has several different versions with several different oz's,etc. What do all those mean? I apologize for my ignorance but I'm trying to learn.

I'm not gonna shoot it. It's oiled and put away. I'm afraid Ill damage it.

But I would like to buy some shells that are safe for it, just in case I decide to "show it off". Where do I get the 7/8 oz shells that you like?

When I had the gun checked when I first got it, the smith said I could fire modern loads thru it. It has had 2 3/4 thru it since I've owned it, but if it's a bad idea to continue to do so, I will stop.

The gun "blowing up" wouldn't be very conducive to me being able to shoot it.
