perhaps "tight chokes" might be more accurate if speaking of long range duck guns? Forcing cones may be another consideration...either way, chambers, in my limited knowledge, are a length, not tight or loose?

Put in McIntosh, A.H.Fox, on AbeBooks.com today - one book comes up "Collectors Grade 1st Edition" for sale $169.95...not sure if they are referring to a great condition Trade Edition, or the Deluxe Limited Edition of 500? Others on this site would certainly know more than I regards presen...

I have been offered an XE Fox...never seen one before, checked out this site's photos, not sure what to expect. Any ballpark figures on what value/fair offer is? Will try to gather more details...not so interested in it myself, maybe someone on this site will be...

20/16 ga barrel set...

Just catching up. A while back, I'd asked for advice regards breaking up a 16 ga Fox to make a two barrel set for my 20ga Sterlingworth. Well, received plenty of pm's, most saying, wait for a set of barrels. The 16ga is safe, sitting in the corner. Obtained a set of 16ga Fox bbls in the white w/fore...

chokes for Montana?

I'll be West next year. Had been told to prepare for long shots, large shot, and tight chokes...granted, that was from pheasant hunters. Looks like you had success with sub gauge and open chokes? Will a 20 or 16 with 7/8 oz loads be ok?
