A couple of custom Sterlingworths and ducks

Here are a couple of Custom Sterlingworths that were upgraded by Chris Dawe in Newfoundland. I have posted about these guns before but wished to share a picture of them being used on this mornings duck hunt.

Re: Progress on a Grouse/Woodcock Gun 20 gauge

Beautiful Fox. I hope some day our paths will cross and I will be able to see it in person. I love that wood and the grouse
It looks like you will have it this fall in time for grouse hunting.

Re: Hunting partners new custom 20 ga. Fox

Thanks for the positive comments. We are looking forward to using our Foxes this fall chasing Mearns quail behind our pointers. These custom 20’s are just too nice to sit in the safe in the dark.
Initials are now being engraved and then the process to import and ship back.

Re: Fox transformation

I ended up buying a Brady case and the seller Karl F had me send him some measurements. He used these to make sure the gun fit the case perfectly. The icing on the cake was he hand tooled a leather label with my granddaughters name along with a rose. I wanted to show how nice it turned out. To make ...

Re: Winchester Model 71

I have a 71 converted by DNC ( David Clay ) to a 50-110. Wonderful job. I have taken a cow elk with it but now sits in the safe. I may need to dig it out and shoot it again.

Re: Sigle trigger modification observation.

Thanks guys for the great feedback. Mr May thank you especially for chiming in. The 4 guns were with modifications to a single trigger 2 were Parker’s one was a Fox, and the most recent one an Ithaca. 3 of these were 32” guns so there may have been a reason why they had the trigger set in the rear p...
