Well, my scales are accurate, but the barrel length is 28 instead of 30
inches. Sorry. It seems the guy I bought my Sterlingworth from can't
use a measuring device worth a damn! I took him at his word. It's
still a very nice 12 ga. though and it should be a great shooter.

The barrels on my 1928 Philly Sterlingworth weigh exactly 3 1/2 lbs.
What barrel weight number would that make them? 1,2,3 or 4??

Sterlingworth for sporting clays

Silvers recommends keeping the hinge pin and rotary bolt surfaces
clean & greased, especially after each outing. What kind of grease is
recommended, and where is the rotary bolt surfaces? Thanks.

A.H. Fox Sterlingworth question

I got bitten a year ago with the Sterlingworth bug and have found this forum a great wealth of information on these fine American shotguns. I finally joined the A.H. Fox Collector's association this week to help support this hobby and fine organization. My question concerns a 20 ga. Philly Sterlingw...

J.T Callahan Letter questions

I just received my Callahan letter on my 20 ga. Fox Sterlingworth that I purchased from CSC/Galazan this past May. It letters as having 26 " barrels, IC/M with a ship date of June 17, 1927 to Sears Roebuck Co. The question I had concerns the variation of this gun: Brush. I under- stand Field an...
