Re: barrels fast to frame....
This has still been on my mind to where I may have a better solution to the low strength Loc-Tite fix. What if a guy were to pack a heavy grease right atop the extractor set-screw hole to a level that doesn't affect the cocking slide's travel. That way, when infrequently having to remove the set scr...

Re: barrels fast to frame....
Well, problem solved although it turned out to be a real ‘hair-puller’ in the end. I should warn you that there might be more technical discussion with this one than some of you’d like, so you can either bail…. or read on and possibly save yourself a nasty repair job. (You'll find a schematic handy)...

'Thanks' Scott,
Appreciate your input, which all makes sense. Will let you fellows know how it works out - just as soon as I do.

Re: barrels fast to frame....
'Thanks' for the response, Bobby. Should have stated that this is an ejector Sterlingworth in 20 ga. which might require you to ante up an additional $50 to the owner. :P But more seriously, the ejectors still work/travel as they should at this point....the gun is wholly functional.....it's only tha...

barrels fast to frame....
Was approached the other day at my shooting club by a fellow whose barrels would not separate from the frame on a 20 ga. Sterlingworth. With snap-on forend removed, the barrels will hinge downward as they should....but not shift slightly rearward as normal to remove them. I'm no 'smith', but my susp...

Ed, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Lyman sold out of these one dozen heads on Friday morning in the first deluge of phone calls. Rumor is going around that just one guy bought them all to gouge us with on E-Bay, but that is unfounded in that I'm hearing differently from the Lyman folks on t...

That' pretty much correct, Fred. The early Lyman heads (as shown in the link) had four inclining ramps that gently turned over the case mouth. The later version has six non-directional bumps in each head.....think of six pieces of large shot half imbedded along a circumference and you'd have the ide...

Any roll crimpers out there?
Good morning, fellas If any of you roll crimp or would like to try it, you might want to check out the following link over on the Doublegunshop site. We need your input re: the return of Lyman's time-tested roll-crimping head. Also, there are still a very few available in 12 ga. for those interested...

Craig, I might need an assist in that I've been a paid member since May 18th, 2008 -having received my Fox member's pin and certicate shortly after that - and yet cannot see or access the 'members forum' section via the Forum Index page no matter how many times I log in!!?? Does something possibly n...

To the Fox apostle of our NW
My personal 'Thanks' to David Noreen for attending our 'Nimrod Classic' for the fourth straight year based out of Polson, MT. We genuinely appreciate your time and commitment in bringing over your lovely Fox guns for the weekend, Dave, and sharing them with us - as they are truly worth seeing! Thoug...
