First Fox: 16 ga. Sterlingworth

I stumbled on this 16 ga. Sterlingworth when picking up another gun (a 20 LC, i sheepishly admit). It's been refinished of course, but looks nice and shoots well...dropped a pheasant a couple hours after I picked it up and before I had the bores opened to Skeet 1 and Improved, a favorite combination...

Wow, now that's an answer! When I get the barrels back I'll measure the chambers and add that info to this thread, but right now plan to use 2.5 inch shells in this with low pressure loads. I like the idea and the combination of 2.5 inch and low pressure, and don't have any problems bringing down bi...

Just bought a Sterlingworth, 28" barrels, 20 ga. frame (oh, so small and light), tightly choked; extremely nice condition, probably refinished, silvery plated receiver for example, nicely blued barrels. But I'm a hunter, not a collector and the price was oh so low, less than...so who cares? Que...

Does Mr. Campbell have a recipe for his spreader loads he'd share? I've just sent one load with Polywad spreaders in it for testing and will share the results if anyone is interested. Believe it was a 2.5 inch 12 ga. load, however, not a 16. Having some barrels opened up instead of loading too many ...
