Re: VINTAGE CUP----ROLL'S CALL

Great pic - I don't think those guys spent much time trying to figure out which after market chokes to buy . . . .

Re: restock an ugly fox sterlingworth

I am having a 16 ga. SW restocked right now - I found that it can be challenging to restock a SW because it is hard to get it done "right" without ending up way underwater on the gun cost-wise. The stocker I ended up using was recommended to me by a dealer who has used him a number of time...

Re: Where to have stock refinished

These guys are in upstate NY - I have not used them but talked to them about a Fox project and they seemed knowledgeable and easy to work with. They do a lot of restoration work.

(LINK DELETED: Please NO direct links to gun or guns for sale-Fox-admin) - My apologies, I thought that referred to links for guns the poster was selling.

Re: Stock Question

Thanks for the feedback. I do plan to upgrade it to a CE level and have seen some nice blanks online, but there is a lot more to choose from if the options are expanded beyond American black walnut. http://www.oldtreegunblanks.com/shotgunblanks.php?woodid=18 http://www.hunterbid.com/cgi-bin/new/Auct...

Stock Question

I am a relatively new Association member, and have been enjoying a lot of very helpful information that gets exchanged on this forum. I have a 1916 SW 16 ga (non-original) that I am about to start a restoration/upgrade project on, which will include restocking. My current plan is to upgrade the gun ...
