Someone with experience should be able to repair that crack to where the repair will be near invisible. I would definitely have it looked at before it gets worse.

Thanks for posting. I love to hunt quail. Being on the West coast our birds are in different terrain. Seeing what the other side of the country looks like is always an enjoyment to me. Maybe some day I can personally experience the Eastern terrain and hunt.

I have never seen or heard of one with 3 3/4" chambers. What is the wall thickness at the end of the forcing cone?
