Silvers, I currently own Super Fox s/n 28399 that letters with factory 3" chambers but is not stamped 3 in on the barrel flats or anywhere else on the gun. I have had the chambers measured to confirm the chamber length and as Don said it was very difficult for the gunsmiths to confirm the chamb...

Hello Birddawg, I currently own 2 Super Foxes that letter as factory 3 in chambered guns. Serial no. 31791, shipped November 1927, is stamped 3 IN directly beneath the serial number on the barrel flats (see page 219 in MM's book) with one stamping. I am always suspicous of a gun with two stamp marks...
